Having a defense that can communicate and align effectively is fundamental to stopping offenses. Utilizing the 4-3 defense allows you to be simple yet multiple when you want to add to your current toolbox of defenses played. By having multiple structures for an opponent to prepare for, you can dictate what they do.

Using the different techniques of the defensive ends and Mike Linebacker, Coach Martin shows how you can change the numbers for the offense in the zone-read game. He also goes in-depth on the different ways for the outside linebackers to align to different wide receiver splits and how the safety play will adapt to their alignment.
